Clarkstown held its first Environmental Summit at South High School on Saturday March 5th. It featured over 40 workshops, prominent speakers such as Karl S. Coplan, Associate Professor of Law and Co Director, Environmental Litigation Clinic at Pace University and other experts in environmental science. The gym also hosted an Expo with representatives from various gov't agencies, utilities, clubs, organizations and businesses dedicated to helping the environment.
Congratulations goes out to Shirley Lasker and the entire town board and volunteers for making this event possible. My appreciation to Laurie Peek and the freshmen students who volunteered as photographers to document this great event!
